Accelerating Content Production with AI Workflows
BrightWave needed to increase their content output for multiple clients without significantly expanding their internal content team.
The agency was managing content calendars for a dozen clients across blogs, social and email, and every piece — however short — passed through the same slow chain of writer, editor and account lead before it could go live. Growth meant either hiring faster than revenue justified, or finding another way to keep pace.
BrightWave wanted to protect the editorial judgment that made their work good, while removing the busywork around it: research, first drafts, formatting, and the back-and-forth of getting a piece into a publish-ready state.
Slow and Fragmented Content Production
The content workflow involved multiple manual steps including ideation, drafting, editing, and publishing. This slowed campaign launches and created bottlenecks across the team.
Briefs were written in one tool, drafts lived in another, and approvals happened over email threads that were easy to lose track of. A single blog post could pass through six people before publishing, and nobody had a clear view of where any given piece actually stood.
Account leads spent as much time chasing status updates as clients spent waiting for content, and campaign launches regularly slipped because one piece in a ten-piece calendar was stuck in someone’s inbox.
Creating an End-to-End Automated Content Pipeline
We built a workflow that generates draft content, organizes editorial review tasks, and publishes approved articles directly to their CMS, dramatically improving efficiency.
Briefs now feed directly into an AI drafting step that produces a structured first draft — headline, outline, body — ready for a human editor to shape rather than start from a blank page. Every draft lands in a single review queue with a clear owner and a due date, replacing the scattered email threads.
Once a piece is approved, it publishes to the client’s CMS automatically, with formatting and metadata applied without a second manual pass. BrightWave now runs more client accounts with the same team, and editors spend their time improving writing instead of chasing it down.
